We understand that moving to a new country for higher education presents both logistical and personal challenges. T.C. Atlas University takes a proactive, structured approach to student support, ensuring that international students and their families have peace of mind from the moment they are accepted until graduation.

The International Office provides comprehensive assistance across several key phases of the student journey:

  • Pre-Arrival and Admissions Guidance
Before arriving in Istanbul, students receive detailed instructions regarding the necessary preparations. Our office provides official documentation required for student visa applications and offers clear guidance on the procedural steps involved. We also supply essential information regarding housing options, living costs, and what to expect upon arrival in Türkiye.

  • Orientation and Bureaucratic Assistance
The first few weeks are critical for a successful transition. We conduct a thorough Orientation Program designed specifically for international students. This covers academic expectations, campus facilities, and practical life in Istanbul. Crucially, our office assists students with mandatory bureaucratic procedures, including:
    • Guidance on applying for the Turkish Student Residence Permit (İkamet).
    • Assistance with obtaining a Turkish Tax Number and opening a local bank account.
    • Information on registering for health insurance and accessing local medical services.

  • Academic and Well-being Support
Throughout their academic tenure, students have continuous access to advisors within the International Office. We act as a liaison between the student and academic faculties to help resolve any administrative issues. Additionally, we work closely with the university’s Wellness Center and Psychological Counselling units to ensure that students experiencing culture shock or homesickness receive professional, confidential support.

  • Cultural and Social Integration
Academic success is closely tied to social well-being. We actively encourage international students to participate in campus life, student clubs, and the "Social Street" (Sosyal Sokak) activities. By organizing intercultural events and facilitating connections with local peers, we help international students build a strong, supportive community away from home.
