All international students are required to apply for a residence permit within the visa validity period after arriving in Turkey.
To apply for a residence permit, you should prepare and bring the following documents to the “Student Affairs” office on the ground floor:
- Online application form that is obtained from “E-ikamet” (https://e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr/)
- A valid health insurance policy covering the requested period in the online application
- A valid proof of address (A Dormitory Document / A Notarized Rental Contract)
- A copy of your passport’s identity information page, visa page, and the last entry stamp page.
- Biometric photographs (4 pcs)
- Original student certificate (Newly Dated)
- Original university transcript for all previous years (Renewal Application)
- Tax payment receipt that is obtained from the tax office “Vergi Dairesi”
Please note that to obtain a residence permit, you need to have a passport with six (6) months' validity, and your residence permit expiry date should be at most sixty (60) days before your passport.
